The V12 Vantage continues Aston Martin’s reputation as a superb sports car. The agility and outright performance produce the most exhilarating sports car. Based on the hugely successful V8 Vantage, Aston Martin’s designed to provide a unique character, appealing to different driver tastes and complementing the other models in the current Aston Martin line-up.
Aston Martin V12 Vantage subtly hints at its sporting intent with its controlled aggression and lower, purposeful stance. It is manufactured at Aston Martin’s global headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire where all Aston Martins benefit from class leading levels of craftsmanship fused with cutting-edge technology.
Designed for the focused driver, every component of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage has been honed with pure driving enjoyment in mind. Benefiting from race-developed materials and components, and featuring lightweight carbon fibre; performance and agility have been tuned to perfection.
The V12 Vantage features a 6.0-litre V12 engine producing 510 bhp (380 kW / 517 PS), and 570 Nm (420 lb ft) of torque with a top speed of 190 mph (305 km/h) and 0-62 mph (0-100 kp/h) time of 4.2 seconds.
Aston Martin has always been about truth to materials: wood is valued for its structural properties and appearance, as are aluminum, glass and leather, while carbon fibre is utilized for its strength and weight-saving abilities and not just a showy finish. A transparent polycarbonate roof brings an increased sense of spatial awareness, opening up the passengers’ vistas beyond the driver’s focus on the road ahead. This ultra-light transparent material is a first for the company. The Rapide has dual climate zones, and the luxuriously appointed rear seats come with their own DVD screens and controls for the audio system and environmental system.
