Outlook rides on a long, 118.9-inch wheelbase and wide, 67.28-inch tracks — a combination that enables stable handling and a smooth ride. Sharp handling is supported by independent front and rear suspension. The front suspension features a MacPherson strut design, with a direct-acting stabilizer bar. Isolated mounting points help reduce noise and vibration. The rear suspension uses a compact, state-of-the-art linked “H” design, which also has an isolated mounting system that reduces noise and vibration transmitted to the passenger compartment. The body structure is reinforced in numerous areas with high-strength steel, including a stiff steel cross-car beam welded across the floor between the B-pillars. It also uses dual-phase steel is select areas, such as the lower engine compartment rails.

In the XV, XE, and XE Preferred trims, the V6 produces 281 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque. In all trims, the V6 links to a six-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode. Fuel economy numbers for the Outlook check in at 17/22 mpg for the front-wheel-drive trims and 16/21 for the all-wheel-drive trims.
