With a parallel full-hybrid drive system, the new Cayenne S hybrid—marks a Porsche first hybrid vehicle. This hybrid SUV use the hybrid powertrain adopted for the forthcoming Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid, which combines an Audi-engineered combination of a supercharged 330-hp 3.0-liter V6 with a 47-hp electric motor powered by a lithium-ion battery pack. The exterior of the new Porsche SUV follows the organic body lines, Porsche’s philosophy of evolutionary design. The 2011 Cayenne SUV features a new and longer center console and a repositioned shift-knob including placement of the center air vents, sportier gauges and a new steering wheel. The new-generation of Porsche Hybrid SUV also combines a chassis with high-strength steel with aluminum hood, doors and a tailgate. Every Porsche Cayenne come with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and European models incorporate automatic stop/start.
