Coupe-Based Design Mercedes-Benz Shooting Break Concept 2010

The four-passenger Shooting Break concept make its debut at 2010 Beijing Auto Show and its designed to provide further insight by Mercedes designers into the possible future development of the coupe concept. The Shooting Break concept car features some astonishing proportions which at the same time are clearly reminiscent of the CLS sedan design. With two-door, wagon-styled and coupe-based hatchbacks, the Mercedes Shooting Break design use of elements which are mindful of the SLS AMG super sports car. Featuring spray-guided direct-injection, piezo-electric injection valves, and start-stop technology, 3.5-liter V-6 Mercedes engine will produce 306 horsepower with 273 pound-feet of torque. The concept gets full LED headlamps, a panoramic glass sunroof, a full-length center console in the cabin and a luggage compartment with a wooden floor. The grille is dominated by the large central star, it is supported by bionic, curved grille slats. Their curved design is reflected in the expressive look of the front apron and air intakes. Overall, the Mercedes-Benz Shooting Break concept car is clearly a four-seater crossover vehicle which combined the luxuriousness of a coupe with the luggage space of an estate. [Source: Motortrend]
