After a decade General Motors finally objectify its ambitions to reflect new realities of an entry-level luxury coupe, the 2011 CTS-V Coupe. This luxury sports coupe is the latest addition to the lineup of Cadillac’s most successful model and best-selling cars. The 2011 CTS-V Coupe is powered by a 556-horsepower high-performance supercharged 6.2-liter V8. It would mate to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The coupe rides on the same wheelbase as the CTS sedan, but its body measures nearly 2 inches lower and 2 inches shorter than the sedan’s. The suspension has been tuned to improve handling, and an upgraded suspension package with 19-inch wheels and summer tires is available. Standard or optional interior features include 14-way-adjustable Recaro sport seats, a surround-sound audio system with a 40-gig hard drive that allows users to pause and replay live radio, a navigation system and a back-up camera. Since it shares its sheetmetal from the cowl forward and almost all of its mechanical components with the CTS sedan and wagon, the coupe is an easy way for GM to target a segment currently dominated by BMW, Infiniti, and Audi. Price starts at $37,330 MSRP. [Source: Car and Driver]
